Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has emerged as a surprise contender to be the next head coach of the Chicago Bears.
Kingsbury’s return to the NFL has gone swimmingly, as the Commanders’ offense with Jayden Daniels at quarterback has gone from being dormant for several years to one of the best in the NFL.
Last year, Kingsbury was part of USC’s staff and worked directly with Bears starting quarterback Caleb Williams. A possible reunion could be in the works after the season ends, according to NFL Network.
The Bears are 4-8 after a promising start to the season that included a five-game losing streak.
