Comedian Eddie Griffin called Sean “Diddy” Combs a dead man and said he will not leave prison alive as he awaits trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
The rapper is accused of forcing women to perform “elaborate and produced sexual performances” described as “bizarre” and will now have to serve time in a New York City prison once described as “hell on Earth” after a judge denied him bail last week.
Combs, 54, will serve pretrial detention at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, notorious for suicides and murders and once home to disgraced rapper R. Kelly, convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell and con man Billy McFarland.
But speaking out about the rapper’s arrest and the slew of charges, Eddie Griffin warned that Combs likely won’t survive his time in the infamous prison.
On Monday, on his YouTube channel, the comedian compared the situation to that of Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced American financier and pedophile who died while incarcerated and awaiting a federal sex trafficking trial in 2021.
Eddie Griffin took to his YouTube channel to call Diddy a “dead man” following his arrest last week on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
The indictment described Combs as the head of a criminal enterprise engaged or attempting to engage in activities including sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate transportation for the purpose of prostitution, drug offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.
The rapper is alleged to have coerced and manipulated victims into participating in days-long sex shows, which he referred to as “freak offs.” Pictured: Diddy attends the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards at Prudential Center on September 12, 2023 in Newark, New Jersey
Griffin said: ‘I wonder who’s going to get the money, there must be a $100 million prize in this, there’s a contest going on at the penitentiary right now.
“He’s a dead man, I’m sure of that.”
The comedian added: ‘Your ego got out of control because you were controlling everything at those weird parties… now you cut off both your feet and your hands and now your head is coming.’
Combs was sensationally arrested at the Park Hyatt Hotel in New York City last week and has since been charged with sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution, crimes to which he pleaded not guilty in a Manhattan court on September 17.
The indictment against Diddy unsealed this week alleged that federal raids at his Miami and Los Angeles mansions led to the discovery of more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.
The rapper is believed to have forced and manipulated his victims into participating in sexual shows that lasted several days, which he called “freak offs.”
Diddy’s associates allegedly supplied victims with drugs to keep them compliant and threatened anyone who refused, in claims similar to those made in a civil lawsuit filed by Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie last year.
In a desperate bid to remain free, he asked for bail, offering his own home and his mother’s as part of a $50 million guarantee.
But Combs’ request was denied and he will remain in custody and if convicted of the racketeering charges, Combs faces a maximum sentence of life in prison, and a sex trafficking conviction would carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years behind bars.
Homeland Security Investigations conducted early morning raids at Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami.

The prison where the disgraced hip-hop star was sent has become the main federal detention center in the Big Apple since 2021, when the Bureau of Prisons closed its sister facility in Manhattan (where child sex abuser Epstein died) due to its appalling conditions.
But the Brooklyn facility Similarly, it has been plagued by chronic understaffing, constant lockdowns, outbreaks of violence and a series of suicides and deaths.
Combs’ attorneys even acknowledged the deplorable conditions in his bail application last week, noting that “several courts in this District have recognized that conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center are not suitable for pretrial detention.”
“Earlier this summer, an inmate was murdered,” the hip-hop mogul’s defense attorneys wrote. According to the Daily Beast.
“At least four inmates have committed suicide there in the past three years.”
The attorneys were referring to the June 7 death of Uriel Whyte, who had been awaiting trial on weapons charges for more than two years when he was stabbed to death.
The prison was put under quarantine after this, “where basically, we leave our cell every three days to take a 15-minute shower.” An inmate told NY 1 at the time.
“You’re literally in solitary confinement when you shouldn’t be,” he said.
Inmates and their attorneys also claimed to have found cockroaches in their food and mold in showers, and in several recent legal cases, conditions at the prison were described as “terrible,” “longstanding,” “filthy,” “inhumane” and an “ongoing tragedy,” Combs’ attorneys argued.
He will now serve pretrial detention at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center.
Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyers complained that she was malnourished, losing her hair, was given meals with melted plastic in them, had to drink contaminated water and could smell overflowing toilets while serving time in prison.
Rapper R Kelly has had his lawyers sue the prison after claiming he was put on suicide watch as punishment.
Ghislaine Maxwell had been detained at the facility in 2021 and while behind bars her lawyers complained that she was malnourished, losing her hair, was given meals with melted plastic in the food, had to drink contaminated water and could smell overflowing toilets.
She also claimed that prison officials physically abused her, kept her in “de facto solitary confinement,” kept her awake with flashlights and subjected her to constant, humiliating searches.
Former inmate R Kelly also had his lawyers sue the prison after claiming he was put on suicide watch as punishment.
In July 2022, after being sentenced to 30 years in prison for sex trafficking and abusing girls, his lawyer said the officers had violated his rights.
Currently only 42 people are serving prison sentences.
The rest are in custody awaiting criminal trials, like Diddy.
