Colin Farrell enjoys a spa day on the Gold Coast as filming begins for his upcoming movie Thirteen Lives

Colin Farrell made the most of his free time by recently shooting the new movie Thirteen Lives on the Gold Coast.

As reported by the Gold Coast Bulletin On Wednesday, the 44-year-old Irish actor was spotted outside a spa before heading to the film set.

The Gentlemen actor kept quiet in a black tank top and cap when he left Endota Spa in Broadbeach last week.

He kept his head bowed and grabbed a drink as he left the property and headed for work.

Colin arrived in Australia in March before filming the Ron Howard-directed biopic Thirteen Lives, about the incredible rescue of Thai caves in 2018.

The federal government has pledged $ 13 million in funding for the project as part of its Location Incentive program to bring film productions to Australia.

Filming began in March in Queensland, with the Gold Coast hinterland doubling for Thailand.

The film tells the story of the dramatic rescue in 2018 of 12 young boys and their soccer coach after venturing deep into a cave that was later flooded.

The incredible rescue mission made headlines worldwide after the boys embarked on a jaunt to explore Chiang Rai’s Tham Luang Caves.

It took two weeks to rescue them, with more than 1,000 divers, soldiers, and volunteers helping.

The film’s production is expected to inject more than $ 96 million into the local economy, creating jobs for 435 cast and crew members, as well as 3,400 additional background actors.

Speaking about the project in November, Ron, 67, said he was ‘excited’ to be filming in Australia.
