Colin Farrell is back as The Penguin! Oscar-nominated actor looks unrecognizable with prosthetics on his face as he appears on the set of The Batman spin-off for the FIRST TIME
Colin Farrell looked unrecognizable with prosthetics on his face when he was first seen in his role as The Penguin for The Batman spin-off.
The 46-year-old Oscar-nominated actor was spotted Monday morning in full make-up and outfit to play the supervillain on the New York set of the highly anticipated HBO Max series called The Penguin.
Colin seemed more than ready to play the villain aka Oswald ‘Oz’ Chesterfield Cobblepot just weeks after the reveal filming was set to begin.
His face looked just like it did in the 2022 action movie starring Robert Pattinson, as the prosthetics made him appear significantly heavier with facial scars and a receding hairline.
He was also perfectly dressed to encapsulate The Penguin as he wore a purple blazer over a crisp white shirt.

Colin’s black trousers were held up by matching suspenders while he completed the look with black dress shoes.
Filming is expected to last at least until mid-2023.
The limited series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, who directed the aforementioned The Batman.
Not much is known about the plot of the limited series, but it’s expected to pick up where the movie left off, which is with Gotham in a chaotic state in the aftermath of the crime boss’s death. Carmine Falcone.
Much of the cast has also been kept under wraps, but it is known that Cristin Milloti will play Sofia Falcone, the wife of the late Carmine.
Days ago deadline reported that Clancy Brown has also been cast as rival mob boss Salvatore Maroni.
Farrell confessed in January Variety That he had no idea he would be asked to star in a standalone series about The Penguin while shooting The Batman.
“The only thing I had a sense of was that I couldn’t explore the character nearly as well as I wanted to,” Farrell, 46, told reporter Marc Malkinat at the gala event.

“There was all this extraordinary work done by[makeup and prosthetics artists]Mike Marino and Mike Fontaine and his team, and I thought it was the tip of the iceberg, sorry for the pun, that we were going to go the six or seven do scenes that we did in the movie. I was grateful to them, but I wanted more.’
The resident of Castleknock, County Dublin, Ireland added: ‘Honestly, any thoughts I had about an extended series had to do with Mike Marino’s work. I just know it had so much to do with it. Getting older, getting older. He’s just a genius, Mike, so it was his work that was really the inspiration.”
It was Variety which first reported that Farrell had signed on to star in The Penguin in December 2021, which was then followed up in March 2022 by HBO Max officially ordering the show to series.
The Penguin will consist of eight episodes and it’s still unclear when it will be released.
