Saundra was resting against a fence when Chris’s black Mercedes minivan pulled up next to her and told her she could get in.

She said: ‘The back door slid back and Chris Martin was in the back seat. I looked at him and said (to the woman in the passenger seat), “I can’t get in, that’s Chris Martin.”

‘He says, “Yes, you can, just come in.”‘

She added: “He said, ‘It’s lovely to know what you do.’

“I told him, ‘I’m 65 this summer,’ and he said, ‘You don’t look it,’ and to not worry about age and to keep doing what I’m doing.

“He seems like a totally decent human being and I told him that… I said, ‘You’re a very nice person.’

Saundra even took the opportunity to capture the moment with a quick selfie of her and Chris.
