The pub’s landlord, Chris Parkin, described the incident as ‘surreal’, saying: ‘I’ve seen a few things in my time, but nothing comparable’.

The 47-year-old landlord, who has been running The Stag Inn for nearly 30 years, was nearly knocked off his seat when the singer walked in.

‘You never know who’s coming for a pint! What a lovely man he is,” the owner wrote on his post.

Chris and Dakota have been together since 2017 and have tried to keep their relationship out of the headlines.

The Yellow singer, who shares children Apple (18) and Moses (16) with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, is touring with his band.

Chris recently sold the mansion he once shared with Gwyneth for a whopping £7million profit, The Mail on Sunday revealed.

The huge 33-room house in the Primrose Hill area of north London consists of two properties smashed into one.

The couple bought the former for £2.5 million from Kate Winslet and her then-husband Sam Mendes in May 2004. They then bought the neighboring house for £3 million in 2009, before undertaking extensive building work.

Now the combined house, with eight bathrooms and a gym, has been sold to an Asian businessman for £12.5 million.

The property was Martin and Paltrow’s matrimonial home until they announced their “conscious disconnection” in 2014.

Despite moving to California, where he now lives with Fifty Shades Of Gray actress Dakota, Martin stuck with the property.

A source said: “Chris got the house in the divorce but kept it even though he now lives in Malibu. For him it may have been a connection to the UK as his life is very American but he has certainly made a decent profit from it.”
