Starbucks’ mobile app went down Friday, impacting Americans heading to work less than a day after it launched its new holiday menu.
Downdetector, which tracks app and website outages, reported that more than 2,500 customers complained about problems with the app as of about 7:00 a.m. ET.
The outage has spread across the United States, affecting customers in major cities such as New York, Dallas, Washington, DC, and Boston.
Starbucks on Thursday released its highly anticipated holiday favorites, such as Gingerbread Oat Milk Chai and Peppermint Mocha, which may have caused the app to crash.
“I can’t select a store to order from, the menu isn’t there,” one irate Starbucks customer complained on DownDetector.
“I want to see what new holiday drinks they have but I can’t because I can’t select a location,” another customer wrote.
Meanwhile, other customers expressed outrage that the app has been shoddy since Starbucks launched its holiday menu.
