First opinions on Season 3 differ widely.

Season 3 of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 surprised when it was announced with a wealth of content that previous updates were missing. Although the YouTuber notes that there are still isolated errors and that the night map does not really fit into a playlist full of daylight maps, he is quite satisfied overall.

Al Mazrah Resurgence: There is also positive feedback on Warzone 2. The CoD expert and insider TheGhostOfHope rejoices about the fact that the Resurgence mode can now be played on Al Mazrah:

Al Mazrah Resurgence wipes the floor with the regular Battle Royale and Ashika Resurgence.

DMZ changes: The DMZ extraction mode received comprehensive innovations with Season 3, which we summarize for you. The CoD YouTuber Westie shows up after trying the first time new DMZ pretty excited and writes on twitter:

DMZ Season 3 is great! However, they broke the AI again.

There were problems with the AI opponents in DMZ before. They were pretty strong at the beginning, and there were always bugs. Apparently there is still a lot to improve.

General gameplay: It appears cautiously optimistic also the CoD streamer and YouTuber TheTacticalBrit. While playing Season 3, he notices animations changing less fiddly feel, and you can supposedly aim faster after sprinting. The gameplay feels a lot smoother as a result, even if it still needs some tweaks.

Where is there criticism?

Even if some experts have words of praise for Season 3, on the other hand there is some devastating criticism of the update. In doing so, one often refers to the opinion of the community, such as the streamer DougDagnabbit on Twitter:

I’ve rarely seen CoD Twitter so collectively pissed off.

He goes on to say that Season 3 isn’t enough to keep fans happy and it hardly feels like a change. One Poll by the Modern Warzone Twitter accountrun by DougDagnabbit, confirms his opinion to a certain extent. About 60,000 users give here thumbs down about two-thirds of the season.

But there is also very specific criticism of Season 3. New bundles were introduced for DMZ, for example by YouTuber Geeky Pastimes To be criticized:

For CoD points you can now buy a bundle that always lets you enter the match with a medium backpack. It also grants you a weapon that will be available in an insured slot faster than usual should you die in-game. The bundle is therefore repeatedly referred to as Pay2Win designated.

In the next few days it will become clearer how the update for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 will be received by experts and fans. Of course, it is still a bit early for a more precise assessment of the new content.
