Mike Tindall showed off his sporting skills as he took part in a charity run with his five-year-old daughter Lena today.

The former England rugby international, 45, looked in high spirits as he jogged alongside his excited youngster at the Rugby for Heroes event at Old Richians RFC in Gloucester.

Mike, who is married to the King’s niece Zara Tindall, 42, sported a bright red t-shirt that matched his daughter’s, while they both had papers showing their race number pinned to their shirts during the race .

Lena appeared to be enjoying the outing with her father, and at one point the duo are shown raising their arms in celebration.

Another snap showed the pair sharing a hug, while both appeared to have received medals for their efforts. It is unclear if Mike and Zara’s two other children, Mia, 10, and Lucas, two, were also at the event.

It was a day full of different emotions for Lena, who at one point made a face as if she was fed up, while another photo from the event captured her running happily.

Rugby for Heroes “provides financial and personal support to service men and women to help them transition from military service to civilian life,” according to its website. He uses rugby “as a means to help in this (process).”

Mike, who is a patron of the charity, was one of the special guests attending today’s outing, where all money raised goes to the charity.

the charity website explained: ‘Don’t worry if you’re not a runner, the courses are adapted for all fitness levels, so you can walk or run and you can take part with friends, take the kids, catch up with the family while walking or even take the dog. Those who want to participate can walk or run in the 3, 5 or 10 kilometer races.’

Meanwhile, Mike’s wife Zara, who lives with her family on Princess Anne’s Gatecombe Estate in Gloucestershire, enjoyed a solo day at Cheltenham’s Trials Day Festival yesterday.

The king’s niece was without her husband Mike and their three children in the Gloucestershire city, known for the racecourse that bears its name.

She bundled up in a long dark red coat, which she paired with matching faux leather boots and gloves.

The mother of three completed her ensemble with a black turtleneck and a stylish navy blue fedora, accented with a decorative sash.

The Cheltenham Trials Day Festival is described as “the last chance to see sporting stars go to battle on the hallowed turf of Cheltenham Racecourse ahead of the Cheltenham Festival”, which takes place in March.

Their website says: “With a card now consisting of eight races, where each race is a test for a race at the Cheltenham Festival, there is nothing more exciting, unless it is the Festival itself.”

“The excitement isn’t limited to the track, with fantastic entertainment throughout the day and The Wickermen playing live music after the race, it’s a perfect prelude to the Cheltenham Festival.”

It comes after Mike Tindall shared more behind-the-scenes snaps from the London premiere of Netflix series Six Nations: Full Contact.

The event, which marked the launch of the sports documentary, was attended by former English rugby player Mike, 45, who is likely to have a special interest in tonight’s event.

He was accompanied by his wife Zara, and the couple, who wore matching blazers, shared loving snaps on Instagram.

Now, Mike has shared more information from the event and shared a snap with sports presenters Natalie Pinkham and Anna Woolhouse.

He also posted a photo on Instagram of himself with his wife Zara and rugby player Danny Care.

‘Impressed by what I saw in episode 1, it was amazing viewing. It’s coming out next week and I can’t wait.

The series of snaps followed previous photos shared by the couple.

Mike and Zara, who wore matching blazers to the event, shared adorable photos from the red carpet on Instagram, showing them gazing into each other’s eyes.

Zara looked typically elegant in a navy blue plaid coat, paired with a blue satin shirt and black velvet shorts. Meanwhile, Mike looked equally dapper in a blue double-breasted jacket.

The loved-up couple couldn’t take their eyes off each other and weren’t afraid to show it, with their gigantic smiles highlighting their joyful spirit even more.

The pair appeared in high spirits to watch the new series, which follows the teams that battled in the 2023 Six Nations tournament and the trials and challenges they faced behind the scenes.
