The owners of a cocktail lounge in Chicago say that an employee allegedly spitting on Donald Trump & # 39; s son Eric has gone on leave.
Alinea Group said in a statement on Wednesday that & # 39; is just starting to learn the details & # 39; of an & # 39; unfortunate incident & # 39; that took place on Tuesday evening between Eric and an employee of The Aviary in the trendy West Loop area.
They confirmed that their human relations team is involved and will not discuss details, but said that a customer should never be spotted & # 39 ;.
The statement also says that employees have received threats and false reviews are being posted about the lounge.
They said: & # 39; Last night an unfortunate incident occurred between an employee at The Aviary and Eric Trump.
& # 39; The online discussion about the incident is disturbing. Hundreds of people ask for our company to disappear, threaten our employees and post fake reviews. They are wrong to do that based on the actions of a single person.
& # 39; Similarly, those people are wrong who praise this as an act of civil disobedience. We have voices and the means to be heard. A humiliating act lowers the tenor of the debate. For some it may feel good, but it is unlikely that this serves a greater purpose.
& # 39; We hope that this incident can at least serve to alleviate the current absurdity of the discourse in our politics. As fellow Americans and citizens, we should all strive higher. & # 39;
An employee of the Chicago cocktail lounge was taken into custody by Secret Service after spitting on Eric Trump. Eric (right) is pictured earlier this month with his brother Donald Trump Jr.
Review site Yelp has marked the influx of reviews as an & # 39; unusual activity alert & # 39; and temporarily disabled reviews.
But some who mention the incident are still visible. One user wrote: & # 39; I thought nothing could surpass the great cocktails. Then Eric Trump happened.
& # 39; I love this place. I wish I could give more stars. I can't wait to go back and give their MVP employee a tip. & # 39;
The US secret service took the employee into custody after the incident.
President Donald Trump's son was at the chic bar Aviary in the West Loop, known for his creative cocktails, when the incident occurred Tuesday night.
A person with knowledge of the situation told DailyMail.com that a woman spit on the president's son immediately after he entered the chic cocktail lounge on Chicago & # 39; s West Side.
She said something to Trump, although it was not immediately clear what it was.
The Chicago police quickly made an arrest and the woman was held in cuffs for up to two hours. Trump then asked the Chicago Police Department to release her when she was told she would otherwise be charged.
& # 39; It was purely a disgusting act by someone who clearly has emotional problems, & # 39; Eric said Breitbart News.
& # 39; For a party that preaches tolerance, this again proves that they have very little courtesy. If someone is sick enough to spit on someone, it only emphasizes an illness and despair and the fact that we win. & # 39;
& # 39; The secret service did not comment on this & # 39 ;, agency spokeswoman Julia McMurray told DailyMail.com when asked about the incident.

The conservative website reported that the female employee approached Eric when he entered the bar in a group.
They muttered something that sounded like it was anti-Trump before spitting at the president's son.
The agents of the Secret Service then handcuffed her, but Eric decided not to file a complaint and she was released.
Anthony Guglielmi, Chief Communications Officer, tweeted: & CPD was on site and assisted the United States secret service with a law enforcement issue. All questions about a federal security guard should be directed to the secret service. & # 39;
An NBC5 Chicago reporter tweeted a photo with the police on the spot around 8:30 PM.

Shortly after the incident Eric posted on Instagram, with a quote from Socrates: & # 39; When the debate is lost, defamation becomes the tool of the losers. & # 39;
He also shared photos & # 39; s on social media of the Chicago skyline with Trump Chicago on Tuesday evening.
He tweeted: & # 39; Always happy to visit @TrumpChicago! It is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world! @TrumpHotels. & # 39;
Eric travels with the protection of secret services as the president's son, including on a recent trip to the UK this month with his wife Lara, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Jr. and Tiffany.
Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. are the two main executives who lead the Trump Organization, the president's family business.
Donald Trump Jr. has also been regularly on campaign visits.

The cocktail bar where Eric Trump was spewed offers a variety of high-end drinks
Eric was the recipient of a death threat during the 2016 campaign. Last year Daniel Frisiello from Beverly Hills pleaded guilty to leveling threats and performing hoaxes. Among them was a letter to Eric Trump who said: & # 39; If your dad doesn't fall out of the race, the next letter won't be fake. & # 39;
The threat resulted in a dangerous reaction to his apartment in New York.
Last year he told Fox News: & # 39; I am threatened. Our family is threatened. All of us. We have all shown white powder at our home. & # 39;
The incident at the bar does not seem to have been a physical threat to the President's son, but it recalls a number of tense confrontations that the White House staff members had experienced in public last year.
A woman was accused of assaulting White House adviser Kellyanne Conway in a Mexican restaurant in Bethesda in 2018.
& # 39; I turned around and the woman grabbed my hands, & # 39; Conway told CNN in February. & # 39; She was just starving. She had no control anymore. I don't even know how to explain her to you. She was just – her whole face was fear and anger. & # 39;
The outgoing White House secretary Sarah Sanders was kicked out of a Virginia restaurant.
& # 39; I always do my best to treat people, including those with whom I disagree, respectfully and will continue to do so & # 39 ;, she tweeted after being kicked out for working for Trump.
