Instagram versus reality: an interior stylist has lifted the lid on the reality behind her photo-perfect photos of her house – and it's not always as they seem

While the majority of Instagrammers seem to want their followers to believe that they are leading the perfect life, the mother of two revealed what is really happening behind the camera (pictured with her husband, son, seven-year-old and 11-year-old daughter)
What are the six budget items to directly add value to your home?
1. Spray paint: An easy budget-friendly way to brighten up your interior. I sprayed a golden pineapple white and I love it, it fits well with my decor
2. Change the door knobs and the handles of the cabinet: They offer an immediate upgrade with a new coat of paint and it looks like you have a brand new kitchen
3. Add Christmas lights to your outdoor space, they look great when you have fun outside
4. Clear: if it is in a box for more than six months, you don't need it
5. Fresh plants: Budget-friendly, easy to deal with and if you're not that good with plants and eventually killing them, that's okay, buy fake
6. Artificial grass: Without a doubt the best investment you can ever make in your house! No weeding or mowing grass, you save water and look great all year round. I swear, it's the best ever
& # 39; A lot is happening behind the scenes … my house is not always clean & # 39 ;, Dheays told Daily Mail Australia.
& # 39; There is a lot of junk, piles of laundry that has to be folded and put away for days, and pots and pans from preparing dinner all came from the kitchen shots.
& # 39; As soon as my children are home from school, there are socks on the floor, there are lunch boxes in the garage and my son puts his dirty clothes under the bed because he thinks I won't see them. After their bath there is soap everywhere, toothpaste on walls, wet towels on the bathroom floor three meters away from the laundry basket and the garage has become a dump for unwanted items.
& # 39; It's not always like this & # 39; nice & # 39; when everyone seems to think so & # 39;
Mrs. Dheays also has a beautifully decorated living room, but nobody is allowed to come close.
& # 39; A lot of effort is needed to make the perfect photo. For example, I have a spare room where most of my styling is done for products. Nobody enters that room, I put all my props and crutches and equipment there, & she said.
& # 39; My living room is strictly not a children's area and I am barely in it. Nobody is sitting on the stools, they are all there for the show, and most of my coffee table books still have the laminated covers on them. & # 39;

The photographer has gathered 10,700 followers to share photos of her stunningly decorated family home in Perth
And while her followers only see her pristine white kitchen, Mrs. Dheays admitted that she had hidden all the junk before taking the photos.
& # 39; My kitchen doesn't look so clean every day, & # 39; she said.
& # 39; What you don't see are the pots and pans I have already cooked with, hidden on the floor behind the kitchen bench, as well as the piles of dishes in the sink and the junk I removed to make the perfect photo. & # 39;
Her favorite favorite products for styling her house are 3M hooks and Blu Tack.
& # 39; I use a lot of 3M hooks and there's a lot of Blue Tack involved – it's just so much easier to use when styling, & # 39; she said.
& # 39; I also use Kmart Christmas lights for my flattened photos & # 39; s and photo shoots love it because they give all my photos a cozy look. & # 39;
Although most Instagrammers want their followers to believe that they are leading the perfect life, the mother of two said her family home is not always clean like her Instagram feed
The home stylist shares her perfectly organized fridge – because she admitted that she put cabbage in the & # 39; spices & # 39; drawer because the & # 39; looked so nice in the shot & # 39;
While Dheays is taking stunning photos of her home, she said in reality, there are & # 39; piles that had to be folded and stowed for days & # 39;
After her children's pool there is & # 39; soap everywhere, toothpaste on walls and wet towels on the bathroom floor three meters away from the laundry basket & # 39; – but her followers don't see that on her food
If you want to decorate or decorate your home on a limited budget, Mrs. Dheays said: & Always think of minimalism, less is more.
& # 39; Use 3M hooks and 3M tape on walls because they are easy to use and remove without damaging the walls, bright living room rugs add a great personality to your home and plants are great and cheap, & # 39; she said.
& # 39; Ikea also has affordable cupboards and shelves, organize your linen cupboard in baskets, store cupboards labeled, that way it is easy to find everything.
& # 39; Have fun styling and decorating your home, it shouldn't feel like a chore, your home is your retreat. & # 39;
