Republican pundit Scott Jennings called it a “scandal of epic proportions” that White House aides tried to cover up President Joe Biden’s restrictions throughout the 82-year-old’s tenure.

The Wall Street Journal appeared with a lengthy report Thursday detailing how Biden’s team hired a vocal coach to improve Biden’s “fading singing.”

Top aides were given roles typically reserved for the president, as aides canceled meetings on Biden’s “bad days” and even kept him away from his own Cabinet officials and Democratic allies in Congress.

“It’s the biggest scandal in America,” Jennings said Thursday evening on CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip. “And the level and magnitude of the people who dedicated themselves for four years – through this summer – to lying to everyone at home about this man’s condition.”

Jennings said it was a “fair” question to ask: “Who runs this country?”

“And as I said before, if you’re concerned about the influence that Donald Trump’s advisors have had over the past four years, apparently this president was elected, but this president was unable to perform the duties of his office.” fulfill,” Jenning continued.

“And his staff and the White House lied about it and hid it from the American people,” the Republican pundit alleged. “It’s an absolute scandal what’s going on.”

The White House has pushed back against claims there was a massive cover-up.

White House spokesman Andrew Bates told the Journal that Biden “has achieved the most accomplished record of any modern commander in chief, rebuilding the middle class because of his attention to policy details that impact millions of lives.”

Bates also rejected the idea that Biden had declined.

But the American public realized that in dramatic fashion when Biden took the stage next to now President-elect Donald Trump during their late June showdown in Atlanta, Georgia.

Biden’s disastrous debate performance marked the beginning of the end of his re-election campaign, and he quit less than a month later.

But there were also earlier signs, like when Special counsel Robert Hur released a report last year depicting a forgetful and weak, then 81-year-old.

Hur decided not to charge Biden with keeping classified documents in his Delaware garage because, he wrote, the president would “likely present himself to a jury” as a “sympathetic, well-meaning older man with a bad memory.”

Behind the scenes, the Journal reported, Biden could not remember the lines his team discussed with him during the interview.

Directions often had to be repeated when Biden did public events — such as where to enter and exit a stage — that would be obvious to most people.

During campaign events, Trump often mocked that Biden got lost on stage.

“Look, here’s a stage,” Trump said all the way back in September 2012 at a campaign event. “I’ve never seen this stupid stage before – I’ve never seen it before. But if I walk to the left, there are stairs. And if I walk to the right, there are stairs. And this guy stands up: “Where am I? Where the hell am I?” Trump said as he walked aimlessly across the stage.

Biden has exactly one month left in office before newly-elected President Trump is sworn in.
