‘We want to keep the focus on the news’: CNN removed Don Lemon’s name from This Morning as co-hosts Kaitlan Collins and Poppy Harlow read boss Chris Licht’s statement about his firing – and ‘I wish him all the best for the future’

Former Don Lemon hosts Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins read a statement from CNN president Chris Licht after the star claimed he found out he was fired through his agent.
Harlow and Collins opened up on CNN’s This Morning for the first time since he was fired from the company, and both thanked him for his “contributions over the past 17 years.”
They maintained a neutral demeanor while reading Licht’s statement, before telling viewers they were “priority” after the stars were fired.
At the start of the show, they said they wanted to “keep the focus on the news,” before adding, “We’re starting with the news about this show.”
They both then thanked Lemon, who posted a bitter statement on social media after his firing, before saying, “We wish him well and will encourage him in his future endeavors.” ”
