A CNN host from Baltimore grew up emotionally when he defended his hometown after President Donald Trump left the city & a disgusting rat and rodent-ridden mess & # 39; called.
Anker Victor Blackwell, a Baltimore resident, tore apart when he rebuked Trump for his comments earlier on Saturday criticizing Rep Elijah Cummings, whose district covers much of Baltimore.
Blackwell accused Trump of the term & # 39; infected & # 39; and said the president often used the term to criticize non-whites.
& # 39; Regarding the district of Congressman Cummings, the president says no one would want to live there. Do you know who did that, Mr. President? I did, & Blackwell said, choking live in the air. & # 39; From the day I was brought home from the hospital to the day I went to college and many people I care about still do so. There are undoubtedly challenges. But people are proud of their community. & # 39;

Trump hit Baltimore in a series of tweets on Saturday morning before going to the Trump National Golf Course in Sterling, Virginia
& # 39; I don't want to sound self-righteous, but people get up and go to work there, they take care of their families there, they love their children who promise to be loyal to the flag, just like people who live in congress districts support you sir. They are also Americans, & he concluded, torn apart while he threw an advertising block.
House speaker Nancy Pelosi led elected democrats to reject Trump's comments and said in a statement: "We all reject racist attacks against (Cummings) and support his steadfast leadership."
David Simon, the creator of the famous HBO series The Wire on crime and law enforcement in Baltimore, also threw Trump.
"If this empty suit, race-hating fraud actually had to go to West Baltimore for five minutes and meet one of the American citizens staying there, he would make himself wet," Simon wrote in a tweet.
On Saturday morning, Trump tore into a series of tweets to Cummings for comments slamming immigration officials, following Fox and Friends who contrasted Cumming & # 39; s care for migrants on the border with conditions in his own district.
& # 39; Representative, Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully who shouted at the great men and women of Border Patrol and shouted about Southern Border conditions, while his Baltimore district is MUCH MORE Worse and more dangerous. His district is considered the worst in the US, & Trump wrote.
& # 39; As proved during a Congress tour last week, the Border is clean, efficient and well-run, just very busy. Cumming (sic) District is a disgusting mess affected by rats and rodents. If he spent more time in Baltimore, he might be able to help clean up this very dangerous and dirty place, & the president continued.
Trump added: “Why is so much money being sent to the Elijah Cummings district when it is considered the worst flight and the most dangerous anywhere in the United States.
& # 39; No one would want to live there. Where does all that money go? How much has been stolen? Investigate this corrupt mess immediately! & # 39;
Cummings shot back shortly after in his own tweets: & # 39; Mr. President, I go to my district every day. Every morning I wake up and go fight for my neighbors. & # 39;

It comes a week after Cummings exploded with Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan about conditions in facilities used to detain migrants and accommodate unaccompanied migrant children on the southern border.
& # 39; Which means that if a child is in his stool, he cannot shower! & # 39; Cummings shouted at McAleenan on July 18. & # 39; Come on man, what's that about? & # 39;
Cummings' comments were highlighted on Saturday morning in a segment about Fox and Friends, which Trump may have viewed from the White House.
In the segment, a republican strategist from Baltimore, Kimberly Klacik talked about miserable conditions facing residents in parts of the city.
& # 39; There is a crisis on the border, but there is also a crisis in Baltimore, & # 39; Klacik said. & # 39; Congressman Cummings is the most dangerous district in America. & # 39;
& # 39; There are abandoned terraced houses full of trash, homeless addicts, empty needles they've used, and it's really next door, so it attracts roaches, rodents, you name it, & # 39; Klacik said.
& # 39; It's just laughable to let Congressman Cummings talk about the circumstances at the border because of the circumstances in his own district, and many people say he hasn't been there for a while, & # 39; she went on.
Klacik recently posted a series of videos & # 39; s on Twitter about a visit to West Baltimore and her conversations with residents who begged for help with vacant and abandoned homes, garbage and poor water supplies.
In one area, residents used water that was transferred from a fire hydrant after the regular water pipeline apparently went out on different blocks.
Klacik also clapped back at Blackwell and said it was & # 39; so sad to see & # 39; that he made the situation in West Baltimore & # 39; a race problem & # 39 ;.
Both Klacik and Blackwell are black.
& # 39; This can cause a positive change, & # 39; she said about Trump who drew attention to urban plague and urged Cummings to get his district in order & # 39 ;.

Housing and urban development Secretary Ben Carson maintains a house in the Cumming district, which also extends into suburban and rural Maryland where Carson lives in Upperco.

Democrats reacted furiously to Trump's comments and called them & # 39; racist & # 39; and unpatriotic.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a member of the & # 39; house democrat team, tweeted at Trump that Cummings & # 39; is centered on American values that you * will * never * understand. He is a fighter for the people and a leader that you will never be. & # 39;
& # 39; I am proud that the headquarters of our campaign are in the district of Rep. Elijah Cummings is located & # 39 ;, wrote Senator Kamala Harris, a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination. & # 39; Baltimore has become the home of my team and it is disgraceful that the president has chosen to start his morning with contempt for this great American city. & # 39;
Rep. Katherine Clark, a Massachusetts Democrat and vice-president of the Democratic Caucus House, tweeted, "These are not the words of a patriot."
Baltimore Mayor Bernard C. Young, a democrat, also flowed into the defense of his city.
& # 39; It is completely unacceptable for the political leader of our country to denigrate a vibrant American city like Baltimore and maliciously attack US representative Elijah Cummings a patriot and a hero, & # 39; Young said in a statement.
& # 39; Trump & # 39; s rhetoric is harmful and dangerous for the people he has sworn to represent, & Young continued.
On Thursday, the Monitoring and Reform Committee of the House authorized Cummings to request a summons for the White House archives in connection with an investigation into the use of personal e-mail and SMS requests by official staff for official affairs.
Cummings said the commission & # 39; direct evidence & # 39; has that & # 39; multiple high-ranking & # 39; White House officials have violated the Presidential Records Acts, which govern communication retention, including encrypted apps.
The move would force communication information, such as Kushner's contacts with foreign officials.
He has been reported to have used irregular methods, in particular WhatsApp, to communicate with Saudi crown prince Muhammed bin Salman.
Trump spends the weekend at the White House with no public events on his schedule.
On Saturday after his controversial tweets, he left the White House to Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, where he spent just over four hours.
There was no initial word with whom the president may have played golf.
