Tasha Ghouri is looking to take the next step in her career after her time on Strictly Come Dancing.
As the show’s second deaf contestant, the 26-year-old has consistently impressed this season, topping the leaderboards on Strictly multiple times and achieving the first perfect score of 2024 with her performance on American Smooth.
With just two weeks left in the competition, Tasha is already considering new opportunities in television presenting.
“I haven’t gotten many TV offers yet, but I’d love to host it next year,” Tasha said.
“I think that’s my main focus and something I’m definitely considering. Hopefully there will be conversations starting next year.”
Born deaf and with a cochlear implant, she made Love Island history as its first deaf contestant, finishing in fourth place along with her boyfriend, Andrew Le Page, with whom she is still in a relationship.

The reality TV star added: ‘I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve done over the last two years. I have my own podcast (Superpowers with Tasha). I’ve been on chat panels, I’ve done a lot of things, but I feel like next year I really want to push myself towards a different, completely new skill.’
Partnered with Aljaž Škorjanec, 34, Tasha has impressed with performances such as the Paso Doble from Nathan Lanier’s Torn and a waltz from Aretha Franklin’s (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.
Despite her success so far, the model and podcaster admits the end of her Strictly journey will really affect her.
‘It’s going to be very emotional. But for Aljaž and me, goodbye is not goodbye. The friendship we have made: I feel like we are going to remain friends for life, really. I will definitely miss rehearsals and dancing.
‘This has been a dream show for me since I was little. Closing this chapter of Strictly will be really emotional.
‘I get excited just thinking about it. But honestly, this is not goodbye for us at all. “We are definitely going to make a lot of memories, and many more are to come.”
Aljaž, who took a two-year break from Strictly to focus on family life, shared how becoming a father has impacted his dancing.
“The last two years taking care of my pregnant wife and bonding with my beautiful little princess were the best, the best decision I have ever made,” he explained.

And then the second best decision I ever made was to come back. I have enjoyed these weeks because now I see it with different eyes.
‘It’s a new perspective now, and I feel like being a father has given me a greater respect for opportunity; It’s not that I’ve never had it before, but it’s different now.
“Every day in rehearsals, every day in the studio, I grab it with both hands and feel like I’ve actually done a better job.
‘I consider myself a professional and I think I have been a great father because I have to balance my time as a father and my time dancing. I feel like everything has been better because of it.”
The 34-year-old, married to fellow professional dancer Janette Manrara, who also presents Strictly Partner show It Takes Two, added: “What we’re doing now and how I feel now is probably the best thing I’ve ever done.” sense in Strictly.’
