Feminist writer Clementine Ford has doubled down on her efforts in a since-deleted post saying she does not believe Hamas soldiers executed Israeli hostages following the Palestinian terror group’s October 7 attack.

Ford, a self-described pro-Palestine activist, initially made the statement in the comments section of another Instagram profile last week, accusing the Israeli government of fabricating the killing of hostages by Hamas soldiers.

Hamas took about 250 Israelis hostage late last year. According to the Israeli government, about 97 are still being held and another 33 are presumed dead.

Last week it was revealed that the bodies of six hostages had been found in tunnels in Gaza. Days later, Ford denied they had been killed by Hamas in a comment posted on a meme glorifying Israel’s possible downfall.

The meme included two photos of Hollywood star Tobey McGuire. In the first photo, he could be seen walking down the street with an awkward expression, under the caption: “My sister’s wedding.”

The second photo showed McGuire dressed in a suit and smiling on the red carpet. The caption read: “The fall of Israel.”

In the comments, Ford wrote: “I do not believe for a second that Hamas executed those hostages. Israel’s desperation stinks.”

Although his initial comment appears to have been deleted, Ford reiterated his views in a statement to the Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday.

He referred to an investigation by the left-leaning Israeli newspaper Haaretz, which previously revealed that the Israel Defense Forces was responsible for the deaths of some of its own citizens, including three hostages, during attacks on Gaza.

Ford’s statement said: ‘An investigation by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, published in July and widely reported since, revealed that Israeli forces were responsible for implementing the Hannibal directive on October 7, resulting in the deaths of many of their own civilians.

‘Israel has repeatedly lied and distorted scenarios in order to manufacture consent for the genocide it is carrying out against Palestinians in Gaza… including the discredited and shameful lie about the 40 beheaded babies.’

However, Ford did not acknowledge that Hamas has admitted to killing other Israeli hostages last year, nor did he mention that Haaretz reported Tuesday that six Israeli hostages were killed by Hamas terrorists in late August.

According to Haaretz, initial autopsies indicated that all six hostages (Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi and Staff Sergeant Ori Danino) had died from gunshot wounds to the head, but were otherwise in frail but stable condition.

Those were the murders she denied in her now-deleted Instagram comment last week, and then again on her own Instagram page on Wednesday.

In her new post, Ford said her views on executions meant she had been “subjected to the irritating shouting from Z-list people over that comment (which I stand by).”

“Z-listers” appears to be a term Ford uses to refer to Zionists. He then suggested that the “Z-listers” had sent his comment to a number of publications, including this one, and stated: “They are dogged in their desperation to avoid the inevitable downfall of Israel’s reputation.”

His views outraged the Jewish community last week.

The Australian Jewish Association posted a screenshot of her comment, with the caption: ‘How would you describe the… content of this tweet demonstrated here, by Clementine Ford?

‘Israel announced that the six hostages were shot in the head at close range.’

One user said: ‘Those who actively promote tolerance, diversity and inclusion, means they will only tolerate and include those who share their views.

As for the rest, they will simply tell you that in order to be inclusive, they have to exclude all those who have different points of view.

The brutal war between Israel and Hamas broke out on October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian Islamist group attacked an Israeli music festival, killing 1,200 people and taking some 250 prisoners.

Israel retaliated that same day, killing thousands of people, including some of its own citizens. The war continues to this day, with more than 40,000 Palestinians killed and more than 95,000 wounded, mostly civilians trying to survive in the war zone.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been repeatedly accused of delaying a ceasefire agreement for his own political survival.
