Claudia Winkleman announced that there will be “a new format” in the third series of The Traitors, which “will have people on the edge of their seats.”
The beloved English presenter, 52, has revealed some updates about the highly anticipated new installment, but said she couldn’t reveal too much at the moment.

Speaking about the new season, Claudia added that the missions will be “really exciting” as the broadcaster hopes viewers will enjoy them as much as she does.
“They continue to grow and improve, and this year they have more at stake than ever in the overall picture of the game,” he concluded.

It comes shortly after Claudia teased a shocking moment from the latest series of The Traitors ahead of its long-awaited return on New Year’s Day.
The 52-year-old won her first BAFTA in 2023 for presenting the hit BBC game show and said the third series left her and the team “shaking”.
Claudia told him The Sunday Times: ‘I can’t wait for you to see it, there’s something about it that takes my breath away.
‘The chairs are overturned. “When everyone is gone, the team and I stand there and shake because we just witnessed a real emotion, a real tension, a real release.”
However, despite its huge success, Claudia revealed that she originally didn’t want the show to continue beyond its first outing in 2020, because she thought it would be “chic” to do something well once and then put it to bed.

Claudia recently revealed to The middle point podcast that he initially turned down to host the show because he didn’t want to spend more than three weeks filming in Scotland.
The star was offered the job but turned it down because he didn’t want to be away from his family.
Discussing the new series’ challenging missions, he added: “They keep getting bigger and better, and this year they have more at stake than ever in the big picture of the game.”

The long-awaited series of the award-winning show will return to screens on New Year’s Day with Claudia back at the helm.
And in a sizzling new sneak peek, the show promises to return “with a bang” as a new group of strangers prepare to battle it out in the hope of winning up to £120,000 in the ultimate game of detection, betrayal and trust.

The eerie clip sees three hooded traitors carrying lanterns as they make their way to the castle under the cover of darkness.
As the series’ haunting theme song plays, a firework explodes in the sky revealing the show’s logo followed by the New Year’s Day release date.
Then Claudia appears on the screen and tells the camera: “Start the new year with a bang.”
The format of the exciting show will follow that of the previous series, with episodes released in batches of three, airing on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.
While the first two episodes will air at 8 pm, episode three and beyond will appear on screen from 9 pm.
As well as the new civilian series, the official visualized podcast, Traitors Uncloaked, presented by comedian Ed Gamble, returns and will be available directly after each episode of the main show on BBC Two and iPlayer.
