‘Like a sister’: Claudia Karvan reveals the heartbreaking story behind her emotional salsa routine after the death of her best friend two years ago

And now Claudia Karvan has revealed the heartbreaking story behind her emotionally charged salsa routine with dance partner Aric Yegudkin.
The 47-year-old actress said she was inspired by her best friend Samantha, who died tragically two years ago.

Claudia explained in a piece-to-camera that the last time she had her lifelong friend, whom she described as “like a sister,” was in a salsa class.
“The last time I saw her, I took her to a salsa workshop and looked at her and saw her move her hips, and she had this smile on her face … And I thought,” I’ll be fine ” , ‘ she said.
“Unfortunately, that was the last time I saw her.”

The Love My Way actress admitted that she cannot dance now without thinking of her beloved friend.
“Salsa dancing reminds me of Samantha because she loved to dance,” she said.
“She was very spontaneous and buzzing, and there is some sort of salsa character that reflects Samantha.”

Then she dedicated the Sunday evening performance to her.
“I’m doing this dance for Samantha … Her son said to me,” “I hope she dances with you wherever she is,” she said.
Claudia kept her lead after performing the emotionally charged routine.
Judge Sharna Burgess was blown away by the blistering representation of the stars and described it as “a wonderful way to open our second show of the season.”
Former Married At First star Dean Wells became the first celebrity to be voted.
