Molly Ringwald appeared on Wednesday’s episode of Claim To Fame to confirm her relationship with ousted contestant Naomi Burns.
The 56-year-old actress appeared in a video recorded after Adam correctly guessed that she was linked to Naomi.
“Hello, Claim To Fame. You guessed it. I’m Molly Ringwald and Naomi Burns is my cousin,” Molly said to the camera.
“Anyway, I’m sorry Naomi. I hope you had fun and are coming home. Your family misses you,” she added.
Molly’s appearance surprised the other contestants, as it was the first time during the ABC show’s third season that someone correctly guessed another contestant’s famous relative.

Kevin Jonas, 36, standing alongside co-host Frankie Jonas, 23, noted that he was the second Pretty In Pink star to appear this season.
“We had Molly Ringwald and Jon Cryer. Who else do we have?” Kevin said.
Naomi didn’t like the way they attacked her.
“I wasn’t disappointed that I got eliminated. I was very disappointed in how I got eliminated. I was with Hud and then I got screwed. I feel like I want to stab two men in the feet with pencils that aren’t very sharp,” she said in a confessional.
Adam and Hud, after a lie detector challenge, ended up in the bottom two, while Shane was declared the winner, gaining immunity and a clue.
The contestants voted for Adam to be the guesser after his aggressive tactics backfired and in a shocking twist he chose to target Naomi instead of Danny.
“Wow. I definitely thought I was the target, but… Naomi? Wow. I think I’m really going crazy,” Danny said.
Adam, while preparing to guess the name of Naomi’s famous relative, panicked and forgot the name. He later admitted to writing it on his wrist and was just as shocked as everyone else when his guess was correct.

The third season featured Molly’s Pretty In Pink co-star Jon Cryer after his niece Gracie Hyland was eliminated.

“My name is Naomi Burns and when I was a teenager, I moved in with my cousin Molly’s parents. They helped raise me and I became very good friends with her because of that. I got to experience things, go places and do things I never would have been able to do otherwise. And I love and respect her so much,” Naomi said.
Hud provided Adam with crucial information about Naomi and then realized that in doing so he had gotten himself into a bind.
“Nobody’s going to trust me,” Hud said.
Claim To Fame will return next week to ABC.
