I am rich in memories 🕊REST IN HEAVEN 11/12/22🕊 On this day November 6, 2022 was my grandfather’s birthday. I woke up, made my devotion and paid my respects to my grandfather and I wanted to go to my uncle. This was a very special visit we talked about a dream he had we laughed and we cried in that order🥹 that very moment i knew i wanted to remember him that way i just thank god my kids could enjoy uncle like all of us should.. Going into the unknown is very scary, but we have to remember that everything happens for a reason. I’m not sure what will happen as far as a service/home celebration for his life BUT if I can’t be there “it is well with my soul” rest in eternal paradise we will meet again I love you uncle ❤️ 🕊IT’S GOOD WITH MY SOUL🕊 #carrfamilyforver #RIPLegend #carrfamily #godspeed21 #chuckcarr

He also spent time with the Milwaukee Brewers and Houston Astros, but is perhaps best known for leading the National League in stolen bases with 58 in 1993.

In 1997, he also helped current World Series champion Houston Astros win the National League Central Division, hitting a postseason homerun off John Smoltz in Game 3 of the NLDS – the last at bat of his MLB career.

He also made headlines in 1997 during his departure from the Brewers, when he was questioned by manager Phil Garner and produced a scathing response.

The criticism came after he popped out to third base on a two ball, no strike count, but he responded to his manager’s words by saying in the third person, “That’s not Chuckie’s game. Chuckie hacks at 2-0.’

He was released from the team shortly after and moved to the Astros.

Carr played for the New York Mets early in his career before moving on in 1992
