Christine Lampard revealed that her husband Frank Lampard is like

Christine Lampard has revealed that her husband Frank Lampard is like “the son my mum and dad never had” as she told how much she loves being spoiled by her in-laws.

The Irish presenter, 45, who has been married to football manager Frank, 46, since 2015, said she loves the relationship Frank has with his family.

While talking about her parents Frederick and Mina, the beauty said Mirror:I love the relationship Frank has with my family. Frank is like the son my mom and dad never had.

She continued: ‘Whether I’m working or out, he happily sits on the couch and gets pampered just like I do, and he loves it.’

The Loose Women panellist also admitted that life with the former Chelsea and England footballer has changed a little since they had children Patricia, five, and Freddie, three.

However, she revealed that their 15-year romance is still going strong because they make sure to prioritize “us time.”

She said: “Frank and I always take time for each other, which makes us feel very special. We love dressing up, going somewhere nice and laughing a lot. I still get a thrill out of it.”

Christine also commented that Frank still misses his mother Patricia, who died at age 58 in 2008 and after whom they named their daughter.

She said Women and Home Magazine“There are still moments when losing his mother leaves Frank breathless, and he can’t believe it’s been so long.”

She added: “I didn’t get to meet Frank’s mother, but there is a lovely photo of her in our house and even though the children are very young, they know exactly who she is.”

“It was a very emotional day when I asked Frank, ‘Why don’t we name our daughter Patricia?’ I think he was overwhelmed. I look at her now and she’s none other than Patricia.”

The interview comes after the footballer paid tribute to his late mother Pat in his wedding speech in 2015, when he explained that she would have loved his new wife Christine, according to The Mirror.

Pat, who was 58 when he lost his battle with pneumonia, passed away a year before the football coach met television personality Christine in 2009.

A guest at the wedding in Knightsbridge, London, told the publication at the time: “Frank was basically saying it was the best day of his life and he wished his mum had been there to see it.”

“She said her mother would have loved Christine too if they had met and was very touched.”

Frank and Christine tied the knot after a four-year engagement at St Paul’s Church in front of friends, family and celebrity guests including TV presenters Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

One person was missing, however, and for Frank, who once described himself as a “mama’s boy,” the wedding was certainly bittersweet.

Frank previously spent seven years with Elen Rivas, with whom he has two daughters, Luna and Isla, before they decided to separate in 2009.

The footballer was introduced to Christine at the Pride Of Britain awards by fellow TV presenter Piers Morgan, another guest tasked with saying a few words at the A-list bash, and also the first star to reveal Frank’s tears on the big day.

Piers recalled the encounter, saying on live TV after the wedding: “Christine came into the bar and Frank said, ‘Who is she? She seems like a bit of a twee girl’, which I think in the East End means ‘she’s attractive’. I said, ‘She’s way above your level, mate.'”

The broadcaster also revealed how Frank had spoken about falling madly in love with Christine during his wedding speech.

He continued: ‘Anyway, the next thing that happened is they got together, he said in his speech that he was playing for England and they talked every night for four hours and fell madly in love within a week.’
