After filing for divorce in two consecutive years, Christina Hall has now accused her ex-husband, Josh Hall, of transferring $35,000 of her money into his bank account.
According to legal documents obtained by ANDThe 41-year-old HGTV personality claimed: “Josh was able to divert over $35,000 of rental income from my separate property into his account.”
She went on to say in court documents: ‘I am asking Josh to account for the funds taken and return them to me as those funds are specifically used to pay loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance of these rental properties.’
The money came from several of Christina’s rental properties in Tennessee, which Josh, 43, was allegedly able to obtain via a text message sent to the property manager on July 8 — a significant date since Josh claims it is their separation date, while Christina says it was the 7th.
Josh’s text message read, “Hi. For June payments, can we send it to a different account when the time comes? Thanks,” with the “we” seemingly indicating that both he and his soon-to-be ex-wife were on board with the request.
Also on Thursday, Christina posted a glamorous profile photo of herself and added a prayer emoji in her caption.

According to legal documents obtained by ET, the 41-year-old HGTV personality claimed, “Josh was able to divert over $35,000 of rental income from my separate property into his account.”
However, Christina, who included a screenshot of the message as evidence in her filing, said she learned of the transfer on July 21.
She noted in her filing that she “had no personal contact with Josh on July 8, 2024,” adding, “I would not have asked him to wire me my money the day after I told him we were getting divorced.”
She further explained that the property manager complied with the request “believing I had authorized the switch of accounts and asked for account details and Josh provided his own Wells Fargo Bank account.”
The documents were filed in Orange County Superior Court in California, and the mother of three requested that a judge order Josh to return the money.
She is also seeking exclusive use of the Newport Beach, California, home she once shared with her ex.
She acknowledges that the house is in both names, but maintains that the money used to buy the house came from the sale of a house in Dana Point that she owned.
In another twist, Christina shared that Josh’s lawyer sent her a letter demanding that she keep “electronic evidence without it being automatically deleted” from her home cameras, according to ET.
Christina responded: “I turned off the cameras so that the system wouldn’t automatically overwrite the hard drive. Every time Josh has come home he has turned the cameras back on, which would allow him to keep me and my children under surveillance. I object to him having that access to my home.”

Following the divorce proceedings, Josh broke his silence with a photo shared to his Instagram Story on Thursday, which included a praying hands emoji.
Christina shares Taylor, 13, and Brayden, eight, with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. She shares Hudson, four, with ex-husband Ant Anstead.
The Flip or Flop star also took issue with the spousal support orders, stating on the record: ‘I understand that at some point this court may require me to pay alimony to Josh and reasonable attorney fees to his attorney.
“However, I believe this is a straightforward case, with clear and concise accounting over a short period of time, (therefore) fees and costs should be minimal.”
She added: “Like all working mothers, my life revolves around my children and my job. I understand that Josh has his own income and therefore should not need any spousal support from me.
‘He has sufficient assets of his own to pay his own attorney’s fees and costs. Frankly, I am shocked and concerned that he diverted over $35,000 of my separate property money into his separate account on July 8, 2024.
‘The fact that this is the same date he now claims as our separation date, even though it is actually July 7, 2024, makes it clear why he chose the following day.’
On Thursday, everything was business as usual for Christina, who promoted her TV show in an Instagram Story post.
Following the embezzlement, Christina says she is now wondering “what else I don’t know about his financial situation and that is why I am conducting a full forensic accounting for the entire period of our marriage.”
