US star Christian Pulisic should go to a club where he will be “the main man”, according to former Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
The 24-year-old winger has had a hugely difficult and disappointing season with Chelsea and it’s no secret he’s set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Richards believes Pulisic, who moved from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea for $72m in January 2019, needs to find a club where he’ll be the go-to guy.
“He’s got to go somewhere where he’s got to be the main man,” Richards said on a CBS Sports media call Monday.
“When he plays for the United States he plays differently, he feels like the main man. He is much better than he shows and he needs to be more consistent.

Ex-Manchester City defender Micah Richards thinks Pulisic should be ‘the main man’
Pulisic’s time at the west London club has been hampered by injury, unable to really carve out a regular place in the starting XI, and the most recent season has been no different.
He has scored just one goal and provided two assists in 30 appearances. He started just eight times in the Premier League as he fell out of favor.
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher agreed with his fellow pundit, adding he should have left Chelsea last summer.
“He has to move on now. Twelve months ago was the perfect time,” Carragher said.

Ex-Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was recently named Chelsea’s new manager
“For his own career, it would be better if he could move on.
Pulisic has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A and it looks like Massimiliano Allegri’s side are the favorites to land Pulisic in a $25million deal, reports ESPN.
Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Manchester United and Newcastle, along with Napoli, AC Milan and Galatasaray have all been touted as possible destinations for the player who has struggled to find consistency in west London.
Pulisic is set to be part of a massive summer exodus following Chelsea’s abysmal season and the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as owner Todd Boehly’s fourth manager.
