Fishing for compliments! Chrissy Teigen pulls on waders as she tries fly-fishing with husband John Legend… after celebrating 50-day sobriety milestone
The stresses of city life were far behind Chrissy Teigen on Tuesday when she went fly-fishing in rural California with husband John Legend.
The TV personality embraced her rugged environment as she made her first attempt at the popular pastime.
On Instagram, Teigen, 35, documented their day out with a series of photos donning their waders and fishing along a rather shallow-looking stream – with decidedly mixed results.

But despite failing in her quest for a substantial catch, the mother of two admitted she was won over by the angling technique and couldn’t wait to give it another go.
Captioned the photos, she wrote: ‘The joy of your first fly-fishing fish!! very nice, very satisfying, would do 5 stars again!!!’
Other photos taken on the day suggested she was occasionally distracted by the camera, with Teigen striking a pose while standing ankle deep in the free-flowing water.

Today is my 50 day sobriety streak! it was supposed to last almost a year, but I had a few (wine) hiccups in the way. this is my longest streak yet!” she began in a short Instagram video.
“I still don’t know if I’ll ever drink again, but I do know that it no longer serves me in any way. I don’t get any cuter, I don’t dance, I don’t get relaxed. I get sick, fall asleep and wake up sick because I missed what was probably a fun night.
‘I had a lot of fun with it and appreciate everyone who can enjoy it responsibly!!!!’ she continued, also confessing that she had exercised for three days this week, which is ‘unheard of for me’.
Teigen first sobered up in late November, announcing just days before the New Year that she had reached four weeks.
She embarked on the journey as a way to help heal herself after the loss of she and Legend’s son ‘Jack’ due to partial placental abruption in late September, at just 20 weeks.
