Chris Pratt has opened up about meeting his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, while he was there The Drew Barrymore Show Tuesday.
The Guardians of the Galaxy actor, 43, rushed to see her for the first time when he was in church while on the Ever After actress’ talk show to promote his new movie, the Super Mario Bros. movie.
‘There was a moment in my life where I was really struggling and I felt really broken,’ he explained to Barrymore, 48, before he met Katherine, 33.
Pratt went on to tell the full story of how he met the up-and-coming author five years ago, maybe six years ago. God has a fast-forward button, you know, when he’s right, boom.
You get hitched, you fall in love, you get married, and now we have two beautiful daughters to add to my family. It feels really great.

There was a moment in my life when I was really struggling and feeling really broken. For me, my own journey of finding a higher power and relying on that and feeling like, ‘Please save me,’ and feeling like I’m saved,” Pratt shared.
And soon after, I met the woman of my dreams. It’s all about timing. There is a perfect plan for you. You must have faith.
Then the Charlie’s Angels actress asked him if he’d met his now wife somewhere he believed in, to which he replied, “Yes, we met at church.” I was in the front row at church.
And you kind of don’t want to be like, ‘Woah, who is that? In church. But I would sneak a few glances and wonder, “Who is this? Anyway, what do I do? Come on, I’m broken, help me. But who is this?
He continued: We hit her. We didn’t start dating right away, but we met right there, and we later ended up going out.
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Leila, in 2020, just a year after their marriage, and their second daughter, Eloise, in 2022.

Pratt says the book “chronicles seven different stories and their own journeys with forgiveness, and there’s nothing about it that says you need to do it one way, or that you need to do it another way.”
“She was really looking at people on their journeys of forgiveness, and it’s a great book.”
Then he joked, “And when I fail, I say, ‘Hey, remember your book. ‘” Remember, forgiveness is a gift, dear, so maybe you should forgive me. “
