The Thor star will co-host the annual fashion show on Monday, May 6, alongside Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Anna Wintour.
The 40-year-old was “handpicked to co-host the iconic fashion event” on Daily Telegraph reports.
The 2024 Met Gala is themed Sleeping Beauties and will once again see Hollywood and fashion’s elite descend on the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Chris will play a key role in Monday’s Met Gala as co-chair, alongside Challengers actress Zendaya, singer Jennifer and rapper Bad Bunny.

“This year’s co-chairs reflect a variety of professional accomplishments and all have distinct style stories with the Met Gala,” Vogue shared.
Meanwhile, the evening’s honorary chairs are Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.
The dress code for this year’s Met Gala exhibition is The Garden of Time.
The exhibit will feature approximately 250 items drawn from The Costume Institute’s permanent collection.
All pieces will be displayed using elements such as AI, GCI and more while playing land, sea and sky themes.

“It’s very much an ode to nature and the emotional poetics of fashion,” Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu curator in charge of the Costume Institute, said of the upcoming exhibition.
“One thing I hope this exhibition activates is that sensory appreciation of fashion.”
