Chris Hemsworth shocks locals in remote town as he makes surprise Northern Territory school visit via helicopter

Chris Hemsworth surprised Northern Territory locals when he made a surprise visit to a remote town on Thursday.

The Australian actor, 40, made a surprise arrival in Beswick when he landed in VIP style by helicopter as he headed to film in his old hometown of Bulman.

Photos shared on social media by the Wugularr School showed the Hollywood star posing for photos with excited students and teachers during the visit.

He cut a casual figure in a black tank top and shorts as he was mobbed by crowds of excited locals who flocked for the chance to meet him.

As well as sweet snaps of the Thor actor smiling with locals, the Wugularr school told how he spent 30 minutes chatting with local residents before setting off again.

“What an exciting morning we’ve had in Beswick,” they gushed in a Facebook post.

“The whole community watched him land on the oval in a helicopter and then spent the next 30 minutes waving and taking photos – it’s very exciting to see a movie star in our small community.”

His surprise visit came while he was traveling to Bulman – where he lived as a child – to film the second season of his Disney+ documentary Limitless.

Chris and his family split their time between Melbourne, where he was born, and Bulman as a child, and he has previously told how some of his earliest memories are of the remote town.

“My first memories were on cattle stations in the outback, and then we moved back to Melbourne and then we went back there and then we came back,” he recalled.

Chris now returns to his roots to film Limitless, after the first series attempted to discover how to live better for longer, speaking to world-class experts, as well as his family and friends.

While filming the debut series, Chris discovered that he is “eight to ten times” more likely to develop Alzheimer’s than the general population.

After having blood tests for the program, she was informed that she is more likely to develop Alzheimer’s because she is one of two to three percent of people with two copies of the APOE4 gene.

“For me, the positive was like, ‘Well, if I didn’t know this information, I wouldn’t have made the changes that I made,'” she said of the shocking news.

“I just wasn’t aware of any of that, so now I feel grateful to have the kind of tools in my arsenal to better prepare myself and prevent things from happening that way.”

Chris emotionally told how he fears developing the disease and forgetting about his wife Elsa Pataky and his children: his daughter India, 10, and his twin sons, Sasha and Tristan, eight.

“The idea of ​​not being able to remember the life I’ve lived, or my wife, or my children, is probably my biggest fear,” he said.

According to Woman’s Day magazine, the sudden discovery inspired him to write a memoir to immortalize his legacy.

A friend told the publication: “His biggest concern was his family and knowing that the day will come when his children will take care of him.” He has given her a much deeper perspective on life.’

The friend told Woman’s Day that the Hollywood actor will hire a CAA ghostwriter to help with writing the book.

“Chris started jotting down ideas for his book after turning 40 last August, but things didn’t get serious until last week, when he hired one of Los Angeles’ top literary agents,” a source added.
