The widow of the deceased Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell has hit his ex-wife and accused her of filing & # 39; an inappropriate and frivolous & # 39; complaint against his estate.
Vicky Cornell, 41, has now filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, DailyMail.com has only learned that she has been accused of failing to pay $ 5,000 a month in child support for Cornell's daughter Lily, now 19, with ex-wife Susan Silver, 61.
Lawyers for Vicky also told DailyMail.com that the complaint was filed for PR purposes & # 39; after allegedly leaked online after it was filed at a court in Palm Beach, Florida on August 30, but before her legal team saw it.
The document accuses the 41-year-old of not complying with a child protection assignment given in Washington in 2001 to cover Lily & # 39; s costs, including her health insurance and tuition fees.
But Vicky told DailyMail.com in a statement issued through her lawyers that she has paid & # 39; every cent child benefit & # 39; – even if it is not legally required to do so.

The frontman of Soundgarden and Silver (shown together in 1997) married from 1990 to 2004 and shared daughter Lillian & # 39; Lily & # 39; Jean Cornell, 19. Lawyer Mike Singer told DailyMail.com: “Vicky Cornell, the personal representative of the Christopher Cornell estate, has filed a motion to reject Susan Silver's inappropriate and frivolous claim.
& # 39; Vicky has paid every penny of child benefit to be paid, including all high school and college lessons, educational expenses, and health insurance.
& # 39; Vicky Cornell has also made these payments, although she may not be required to pay the fees under Washington law.
& # 39; In fact, she has overpaid the tuition fees by paying for the last semester of Lily & # 39; s college without Lily revealing that she had dropped out of school a few days after the start of the semester. & # 39 ;
Singer added: & # 39; The suit was submitted without notice. We saw it online and now we have responded. It has to be rejected by law for many reasons.
& # 39; We are looking for a fee for lawyers in response to this worthless action. & # 39;
Cornell from Seattle was found dead on May 18, 2017 at the age of 52 in a hotel room in Detroit, Michigan.
The singer, who first burst into the music scene with Soundgarden in 1984, had fought depression all his life and was a good contemporary of Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain who committed suicide in 1994.

Vicky claims that she even paid Lily & # 39; s tuition & # 39; by paying for the last semester of Lily & # 39; s college without Lily revealing that she had stopped school & # 39; days after the start of the semester
Although Cornell & # 39; s death was ruled by suicide, Vicky insisted in February 2018 that he had no intention of killing himself, but had been dealing with addiction problems and feelings of fear.
She said to ABC: & # 39; He & # 39; would never have left this world (on purpose). He wanted to be there for his family, for his children … he loved his life. & # 39;
She added: & # 39; He was the best husband, the greatest father. I lost my soul mate and the love of my life. & # 39;
Cornell & # 39; s death came just over an hour after he last came out of the stage at the Fox Theater. A toxicological report showed that he had medicines in his system, but that they had not caused his death.
In the same interview, Vicky said that Cornell was the furthest from a rockstar junkie. It just wasn't him (those things). & # 39;
But she added: & I don't think he could make decisions because of the degree of limitation. I know people say you can't blame yourself, and I'm not trying to do it, but there were signs. & # 39;
The deceased singer left three children behind: Toni and Christopher with second wife Vicky and Lillian from his first marriage to Susan Silver.

Silver, a music manager, met Cornell in the Seattle music scene and later became Soundgarden's manager.
She married him in 1990, but the couple divorced in 2004. Cornell married the French publicist Vicky later that same year.
After Cornell's death, Vicky was left behind to manage his estate, including the support agreement signed for Lillian in 2001.
According to Singer, Vicky complied with the agreement after Cornell's death, although she might not have had a legal obligation.
He also said that Lillian had withdrawn from college without letting her stepmother know.
He told DailyMail.com: & # 39; Chris & # 39; Obligations to offer child benefit may have expired under Washington law upon his death.
& # 39; In our motion, we stated that Ms. Silver's lawsuit is unfounded and has been filed for PR purposes.
& # 39; Lily went to college and withdrew without informing Vicky. Vicky is very compassionate and would probably have understood what Lily & # 39; s reasons were to quit. The lawsuit is frivolous. & # 39;
