The Original Dirty Scoundrels told the story of two con artists who compete to con an American heiress out of $50,000.
Caine played the suave Brit Lawrence Jameson, who conned wealthy people in order to support his lavish lifestyle.
Martin played Freddie Benson, his arrogant American rival.

Confrontation: Kane and Martin’s cinematic antics later inspired a 2005 Broadway musical
As it turns out, the “original” Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was kind of a hoax in itself.
The French Riviera comedy was actually a remake of Bedtime Story, the 1964 movie starring Marlon Brando and David Niven.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels inspired a hit Broadway musical that opened in 2005 with John Lithgow as Lawrence and Norbert Leo Putz as Freddy.

Multi-hyphenate: Chris is also an actor, appearing on Doctor Who and The Weeknd (pictured here) where he played Chris (left) alongside Dara O’Brien, Hugh Dennis and Andy Parsons
This isn’t the first time Chris has gone down this road to work with Anne and Jack on a project.
Jack wrote “The Shower”, an unproduced screenplay about a baby shower that is blown away by a massive meteor shower.
Chris is attached to direct the comedy with Anne set to star in it.
However, after Warner Bros. took over the project over a year ago, The Shower finally lost steam.
But the second might be Chris, Ann and Jack’s fascination with Nasty Women.
