Rapper Chino XL passed away at the age of 50, AllHipHop reported on Monday, citing an inside source.
Chino XL was born in the Bronx on April 8, 1974 and later moved to New Jersey, according to AllHipHop.
She rose to fame in the mid-1990s with her debut album, 1996’s Here to Save You All, followed by 2001’s I Told You So and 2006’s Poison Pen.
He was also active as an actor, having appeared on television shows such as Reno 911!, CSI: Miami and The Young and the Restless, according to iMDb.
The East Coast-based music artist, whose real name was Derek Emmanuel Barbosa, was remembered by several colleagues and fans when news of his passing circulated Monday night.
