"Yes I Am Dark": Ex-India Star Brutally Shuts Down Troll Over Racist Attack | Cricket News

Former Indian cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan brutally took out a troll after making a racist comment on social media. Sivaramakrishnan posted a picture of himself from the Ayyappan Temple in Mahalingapuram, Tamil Nadu on X (formerly Twitter). There was an elephant in the photo along with the former cricketer and a user said, “Hello sir, that elephant is more visible than you at night”. Sivaramakrishnan replied “Yes, I am dark” before adding, “It’s a temple festival and you guys are so cheap”. There were more comments from the user, but they were later deleted.

Earlier, Sivaramakrishnan revealed that he is not happy with the way he has been treated by veteran Indian cricket team spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

On social media, Sivaramakrishnan claimed that Ashwin had disconnected and not even responded to his congratulations on the 100th Test milestone.

“I tried to call him a few times to wish him on his 100th Test. I dropped my call. Send him a message, no reply. That’s the respect we former cricketers get,” wrote the former India spinner on X (formerly Twitter).

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming praised Rachin Ravindra for a “performance that was really encouraging” on debut against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

CSK will play their second match of the season against last year’s finalists GT at their home arena, MA Chidambaram Stadium. The five-time champions had won their first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by six wickets.

Fleming claimed that batting coach Michael Hussey is working on the plans and management is encouraging the players to do what they want.

“He stuck to his game and part of introducing players to the squad is trying to make them as comfortable as possible. “Mike Hussey is working around the plans, we’re just encouraging players to do what they would do in their normal environment , whether they Whether it is New Zealand or South Africa, wherever it is, we have to try to play the same way and do the same things as for their national teams,” said Fleming, quoted by CSK.

The former Blackcaps skipper further praised Rachin who played very well in the last match. The opener scored 37 runs off just 15 balls with the help of three fours and three sixes.

“And that was exactly the case with Rachin. He played very well. There are nerves, there are a lot of nerves in the first game, even with some seasoned players. So to put in a performance like that was really great.” encouraging,” the former New Zealand cricketer added.
