Disturbing surveillance footage shows a man and his girlfriend walking back to their Seattle home with groceries in hand moments before he allegedly murdered her.

Prosecutors said Andy Chu, 26, confessed to strangling his 25-year-old girlfriend, Zoey Suyun He, who was visiting from Hawaii, before twisting her neck and holding her underwater in a bathtub while she was high on molly. KHON News reported.

The young woman’s battered body was found after a neighbor called the landlord when he saw water flooding Chu’s condo. When Seattle police and firefighters arrived, they made the sad discovery.

Chu had been captured on video leaving the townhouse in Lake City’s Olympic Hills neighborhood in the 3000 block of Northeast 133rd Street on Aug. 10, the day after the two were seen entering the property.

Friends took him to the University of Wisconsin Medical Center after he acted “erratically.” At the hospital, he allegedly attacked a nurse and was arrested.

King County prosecutors charged Chu with first-degree murder and felony assault after police said he told detectives he “may have been responsible for killing her.”

A neighbor captured Chu on his Ring camera, which he provided to Seattle police.

The man told detectives they were carrying groceries and that he saw Chu leaving the condo alone the next morning.

When police and firefighters entered, they found a bathtub full of water and the bathroom sink open.

Police said she was found face up with a cut on her neck and “an ice pack on her throat.”

Officials added that there was also a small block placed behind her neck to support her head. They also noted that there was “no shower head on the pipe.”

Authorities said Chu told police he “has a memory” of strangling her, twisting her neck and holding her under water in the bathtub. Police said he said he thought he broke her neck and “remembered her nose was bleeding, which he wiped off.”

Chu also allegedly admitted to taking two molly pills and smoking marijuana while interacting with his girlfriend. Fox13 Seattle reported.
