A software developer accused of strangling his pregnant wife had a history of disturbing social media activity that led to the alleged murder.
Lee Gilley, 38, allegedly strangled his wife Christa, 38, on October 7 before telling police that the mother of two had attempted to commit suicide by overdosing at their home in Houston, Texas.
A source who has known Lee since childhood told DailyMail.com that in recent years she had become obsessed with right-wing politics and the idea that women should stay at home to care for their families, despite Christa She was a successful physical therapist and teacher.
“This obviously seems at odds with being married to a woman with a PhD, two kids and a full-time job,” the source said.

“They are downright dangerous to your business and your family.”
A week before his wife’s death, he liked a post that included the phrases: ‘Women, forget about your stupid career… We couldn’t care less about your career… society lied… reject modernity… embrace tradition. .’

Before allegedly killing his wife, Lee also liked false information that FEMA was preventing law enforcement from helping people during Hurricane Helene.
‘When this is over, people from the Biden administration and FEMA will face criminal charges. This is disgusting.’ the LinkedIn post said.
Prosecutors say Lee called 911 on Oct. 7 and claimed Christa had tried to commit suicide by overdosing and that he was performing CPR.
Lee told police that he and Christa had been arguing before going to sleep and that he woke up three hours later to find her unconscious.

Christa was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Christa’s murder was staged to look like a suicide by her husband, prosecutors allege.
The couple married in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2017, after nearly a decade of initially knowing each other, local media reported at the time.
Christa, for her part, had a doctorate in physical therapy and worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
His family said in a statement that they are devastated by his death and the death of their unborn child.
