Later that day, a domestic violence expert offered his opinion on what he believed had been happening.

“Healthy relationships stop short of trying to hit your partner with a car,” Franklin Erickson, of the domestic violence survivor support group The Initiative, said of the video, which lasts just a few seconds.

“It’s very clearly a situation where this person needs help,” he continued, speaking to local media. fox 31. “It’s very clearly a situation where their safety is in jeopardy.”

He went on to add that abuse can sometimes be followed – or preceded – by actions of affection or remorse on the part of the abuser, which should be taken with caution, he warned.

As of Sunday morning, the woman’s current condition and identity have not yet been revealed.

The same goes for the alleged instigator, who is seen making a U-turn at one point to chase the victim.
