Chilling diary entries from a woman found dead in her million-dollar Utah home reveal she feared for her life in her final moments.

Her husband Eric Sampson, 50, who was on probation for a previous domestic violence incident, has now been charged with her murder.
A diary entry believed to have been written by Niki was discovered, which “specifically mentioned that (she) feared for her life,” as well as others detailing how her husband became aggressive when drunk, police said.

A concerned neighbor called police to check on the mother of three.
They found her unconscious when they arrived at the seven-bedroom, four-bathroom house.
Sampson denied causing the injuries but admitted he did not call 911 immediately after failing to wake his wife.
But police said he gave inconsistent statements about what happened but admitted to drinking and having “previous physical altercations” with his wife.

She said Sampson had thrown her onto a bed, pinned her down with his knees and pulled her hair.
He was released the same day on a promise not to reoffend, and no protection order was issued for Niki.
St. George police said the investigation into Niki’s death is ongoing. Sampson is being held at the Purgatory Correctional Facility in Hurricane.
An autopsy is being carried out to determine the cause of death.
