A child murderer who brutally killed her two-year-old stepson started a relationship with a transgender murderer behind bars, sources in prison claim.

Nyomi Fee, 32, and her then partner Rachel Trelfa chained two-year-old Liam Fee to a cage in a room full of snakes and rats before killing him in 2014.

Liam – the son of Trelfa – was beaten so badly that doctors compared his injuries with those of car accident victims.

Fee – who was detained for life in 2016 – met Alex Stewart, 31, in HMP Greenock, Scotland, where the last 19 years serve as stabbing father of two John Weir.

Stewart, formerly known as Alan Baker, met Mr. Weir on a dating site a few hours before stabbing him at least 16 times.

She now lives as a woman in the female wing of the prison.

A prison source told The sun that the couple became an item after other prisoners had ignored the child murderer because of the horrific nature of her crime.

The source said: ‘They always disappear into each other’s room, thinking that they are discreet while they are not.

‘In principle, they are glued together – during recreation, sports, meals and whenever they can.

“The girl’s prisoners are tired of their blatant expressions of public affection.”

Little Liam had more than 30 external injuries and spent the last few days of his short life with pain from an untreated broken leg and a broken arm.

His mother Trelfa was held for life with a minimum of 23 and a half years.

MailOnline approached the Scottish Prison Service for comment.
