Rice’s role in Reid’s offense grew as last season progressed and, along with Travis Kelce, he became one of Patrick Mahomes’ most reliable targets down the stretch.

But his pending legal issues after the car accident in Dallas may mean he misses much of next season.

The Chiefs were supposed to pick last in the first round after winning their second straight Super Bowl, but they managed to make a trade with one of their biggest AFC rivals in Buffalo. The Chiefs sent the 32nd pick, along with a fourth-rounder and a seventh-rounder, to the Bills for the 28th pick, a fourth-rounder and a seventh-rounder.

Rice is reportedly being sued for $10 million by two people involved in the Kansas City Chiefs star’s Dallas car crash.
