Travis Kelce had a sweet note waiting for him in his locker when he returned to Chiefs headquarters for training camp this week.

Actors Tyler Hynes and Hunter King, who star in the upcoming Hallmark movie Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, revealed that Travis’ mom, Donna, encouraged them to leave “a note in Trav’s locker.”

“I wrote the lyrics to (Garth Brooks’) Friends in Low Places because he sang it at the (Super Bowl) parade I was at, and I told him, ‘Don’t ever change,'” Hynes said in An interview with People.

His co-star King chimed in: “Is that what you wrote?” to which he replied: “Yeah. What did you write?”

She explained: ‘I wrote something like: ‘Thank you for letting us steal your field and your mom.’

Hynes responded: “I love that.”

Although Travis doesn’t appear in the holiday movie, his mother took on a small role as the manager of Kansas City barbecue restaurant Norma & Nic’s.

“She’s a sweetheart,” King said of the 71-year-old actress.

“She’s lovely and I loved having her on set. It was so fun talking to her.”

It comes just weeks after the NFL and Skydance Sports confirmed the film would begin filming in July, with production taking place entirely in Kansas City.

In the film, King’s character, Alana, is “certain that her family’s lifelong history as Kansas City Chiefs superfans makes them favorites to win the team’s ‘Fan of the Year’ contest,” according to a Chiefs Press Release.

The team’s director of fan engagement, Derrick, is in charge of deciding whether Alana’s family is a strong contender for the pageant, and “as the couple spends time together, it becomes clear there’s a spark between them.”

Hynes, known for his role in ‘The Three Wise Men and a Baby,’ previously appeared alongside Donna in an NFL promo earlier this year.
