A Florida man who has been eating raw chicken for 25 days claims he has yet to get sick, despite the serious risks to his health.

John, who has been documenting his journey on the Raw Chicken Experiment Instagram account, says he will continue eating raw chicken every day “until my tummy hurts.”

He appeared on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday to talk about his strange experiment.

“I imagine if I get a bellyache I’ll probably get really scared and stop the experiment because it might get a little complicated, is what I’ve heard,” John told hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.

‘Why aren’t you dead?’ Kyle asked in amazement.

“I think I’ve done a lot of terrible things to my body in my life,” John responded.

Jackie, who said she was “disgusted” by videos of John eating raw chicken breast, asked what it was like to eat.

‘It reminds me a little of a scallop. But when we get into the thighs and the wings and things like that, it’s a little hard to get through the skin,” the Floridian said.

Kyle explained that John also likes to mix raw meat, tossing raw eggs, lettuce, and seasonings into a food processor before drinking the mixture, to which Jackie said he would get sick from that alone, even without the risk of contracting salmonella. .

Salmonella is a bacteria that is often associated with raw chicken, but it can also be contracted through beef, milk, seafood, and eggs.

Kyle and Jackie producer Bruno came up with a hypothesis as to why John had not suffered any illnesses due to his shocking dietary choices.

‘I used to work in Japan, and you know, eating sashimi-style chicken is quite common there… they breed salmonella-resistant chickens, so I wonder if it could be a case of you eating salmonella-resistant chickens or? Do you get them from some old place? she questioned.

“I’m eating chickens from a local farm,” John responded, suggesting that unsanitary factory farms might have more life-threatening bacteria than those raised free-range.

Jackie, who said he was

The hosts then asked if eating raw chicken sashimi style with soy sauce and wasabi was similar to the fish version.

‘I think fish tastes better, it has more flavour. “The chicken just doesn’t have much going for it, but if you had soy sauce and wasabi it would be pretty decent,” John said.

At the end of the segment, the hosts asked how long John will be doing this strange experiment.

“I’m thinking 100 days or until I’m hospitalized,” he said.

Kyle then explained that John also likes to mix raw meat, tossing raw eggs, lettuce, and seasonings into a food processor before drinking the mixture, to which Jackie said he would get sick just from that, even without the risk of contract salmonella.
