Four days before their spring training schedule begins, the Cubs released a promotional video on their social media pages to build anticipation for the 2024 season.
However, fans were quick to mock the team for using the hashtag: ‘YouHaveToCIt’.
What seemed like a clever marketing twist to the phrase “you have to see it” quickly backfired when several X users pointed out the crude meaning it could have if it were read as an unfortunate typo.
And after realizing their mistake, the Cubs edited their post to include a new ‘YouHaveToSeeIt’ hashtag.

The Cubs will begin their 2024 season in a three-game series against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field in Arlington on March 28-31.
Their first home outing of the new campaign comes in a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies on April 1-3.

As for their preseason schedule, it begins against their rivals the Chicago White Sox this Friday.
During the next week they also have games booked against the San Francisco Giants and the San Diego Padres.
