On Wednesday, the 78-year-old singer shared that she is releasing a two-part memoir and posted a first look at the cover of her book.
The first part, titled Cher: The Memoir, Part One, will be published on November 19, 2024. The second book is scheduled for publication in 2025.
The I Got You Babe singer opened up about her early years of fame and her “complicated relationship” with then-husband Sonny Bono.
She will also likely discuss her romance with her much younger boyfriend, music producer AE Edwards.
A description from HarperCollins Publishers reads: ‘After more than seventy years of struggling to live her life on her own terms, Cher finally reveals her true story in intimate detail.’

The memoir will feature Cher’s “trademark honesty and humor,” it added.

In the past she said she felt uncomfortable revealing certain details.
“I totally chickened out because I guess I was, I don’t know what I was doing, I was totally chickened out,” she said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“I didn’t put on some things that need to be on and they’re not comfortable, but they need to be on. So I have to go back and be a man.”
And he said on The Graham Norton Show: “It’s the hardest thing,” he said. “I’ve lived so long and done so much that it’s very difficult to cast and we haven’t even finished the script.”
Cher first announced she was writing an autobiography in December 2018.
Cher used to date Tom Cruise and may talk about the experience in her book.
