Cher is reportedly in talks to perform on the Glastonbury 2025 Legends Stage, a move that could delight her fans and mark her 60th anniversary in music.
The 78-year-old Believe hitmaker is believed to be holding “meaningful discussions” with the bosses of the Somerset-based festival which takes place at the end of June.
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis will be keen to secure the biggest stars for next year, with 2026 set to be a fallow year for the event to allow the farm area to recover.
The sun Cher says she is now in the planning stages of a possible Glastonbury appearance and also hopes to perform some shows in the UK next year.
A source told the publication: “Cher is pretty much the legend of all pop music legends. It would be amazing.”

‘It’s been a long process, but he’s finally in meaningful talks with Glastonbury about possibly playing the role of the legend.
‘It’s all in the planning stages, but Cher is hoping to do some shows in the UK next year and Glastonbury could be one of them.
“The idea of a large-scale tour no longer interests him.”

She had hinted at the possibility last year during a chat on Radio 2 and when asked by presenter Rylan Clark if she would perform there, she said: “I would like to.”
This comes as Cher prepares to release her first greatest hits album in 20 years.
Earlier last month, Warner Records announced that the music icon had personally curated a special collection of 21 of her songs, spanning the course of her decades-long career, and had “beautifully remastered.”
The compilation album, titled Forever, will include several of their biggest hits, including Believe, If I Could Turn Back Time, Song For The Lonely and The Way Of Love.

Additionally, DJ Play A Christmas Song from his 2023 holiday album and a live recording of I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For will appear on Forever.
Forever will be released on September 20, two months before the release of her upcoming book Cher: The Memoir, Part One.
According to the press release, obtained by Just Jared, the “special Forever double vinyl pack will be printed on a silver aluminum plate with clear translucent vinyl.”
It will also be available on CD and can be pre-ordered at CherForever.net.
The digital release of Forever Fan Edition will also be “available on all streaming channels on the same date and includes 19 additional songs.”
Previously, Cher has released 27 studio albums, 11 compilation albums, two soundtrack albums, and three live albums.
Recently, the Pop Goddess shared that she will be releasing a two-part autobiography and posted a first look at the cover of her book.
The first part, titled Cher: The Memoir, Part One, will be published on November 19, 2024. The second book is scheduled for publication in 2025.
The source added: “It’s been a long road but he is finally in meaningful talks with Glastonbury about playing the legend’s spot.”
