Chennedy Carter refused to explain, or answer questions, about her brutal body check on Caitlin Clark after Indiana. fever WNBA victory over the Chicago Sky on Saturday.
Carter pushed Clark to the ground, and television replays appeared to show her yelling ‘bitch’ at Clark before tackling her rival.
However, after the game, Carter insisted that he not speak ill of Clark. But the guard resisted the invitation to talk about the incident.
“I’m not answering any questions from Caitlin Clark,” Carter said at the podium. ‘I don’t know what she said. I said nothing.’
It was not immediately clear how Clark had provoked Carter, if at all, before the Fever star fell to the ground.

Caitlin Clark was inexplicably knocked to the ground by Chicago Sky’s Chennedy Carter.
Clark ended up having the last laugh: her team held on for a one-point victory and the 71-70 win was the team’s first home win of the season.
There were 15 seconds left on the clock in the third quarter and when time ran out, Clark gave his reaction to ESPN immediately afterward.
“That’s not a basketball play, but I have to play it, that’s what basketball at this level is all about,” he said.
The incident sent shockwaves through social media, with USWNT soccer legend Carli Lloyd criticizing Carter and calling her jealous.
“I’m not answering any questions from Caitlin Clark,” Carter said at the podium after the game.

Responding to Taylor Twellman, another former American soccer player, who shared the video with the caption: ‘Why?! I don’t get it,” Lloyd wrote: “What you call living rent free. Jealousy at its finest.
Before the game, Clark, the No. 1 pick in this year’s WNBA Draft, said players repeatedly got away with fouling her.
While Clark’s broader claims have been debated, Carter seemed lucky to escape without harsher punishment.
Meanwhile, Clark, speaking midweek after his 30-point game in a loss to the Los Angeles Sparks, said: “I think everyone is physical with me.”
‘They get away with things that other people probably don’t get away with. It’s hard.’
Saturday’s game was the first time Clark faced her college rival Angel Reese, who was the seventh overall pick in the WNBA Draft and was chosen by Chicago.
