Chennedy Carter responded to Draymond Green after the four-time NBA champion said the Indiana Fever needs an enforcer to protect rookie star Caitlin Clark.
‘Indiana better invest in an enforcer… FAST!’ Green wrote in the comments section of a ESPNW Post on Instagram after Carter brutally punched the No. 1 draft pick on the court on Saturday.
The Chicago Sky player faced widespread backlash for apparently yelling “bitch” before shoving Clark to the ground, which only resulted in a flagrant personal foul.
“We grew up like this and y’all talk about the enforcer man gtfoh or shut up,” he wrote on X on Sunday morning.
Although most of Clark’s teammates had already headed to the field when Carter collided with her, fans took issue with the fact that no one on the Fever reacted to the incident.

‘Indiana better invest in an enforcer… FAST!’ Green wrote over the weekend.
‘His teammates not retaliating is a problem for me! “I’m all for tough love, but her team should at least make her feel safe,” one person wrote on Instagram.
Another chimed in: ‘Do you notice that Caitlyn’s teammates didn’t come to her defense OR even try to help her up?’
A third person wrote: “They need a Dillon Brooks and a Draymond Green…they have to protect the shooter.”
Matt Barnes, a 14-year NBA veteran and former champion, also criticized Clark’s teammates.
‘I mean, all season long, they’ve been beating her up. Hard screens, elbows, takedowns,’ she stated. ‘It is what it is; It is not the first nor will it be the last.

Carter declined to answer questions about Clark, but spoke out on social media.
‘My problem and my question is: Where the hell are his teammates? Where are you? Where is the rest of the Indiana fever?
Barnes, who played alongside greats like Kobe Bryant, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul throughout his career, was at times an enforcer himself.
‘I was someone who protected the stars. “If you fuck with Kobe, (Chris Paul), Blake (Griffin), the list goes on, it’s going to be a problem,” he continued.
‘You guys are supposed to be a family. And you wonder why you’re at the bottom of the league right now, it’s because you guys don’t protect each other, man. The coach doesn’t do anything about it, the players don’t do anything about it. Everyone should be ashamed of it.
Green said no one on the Fever has been protecting the team’s star rookie.
Several people agreed with the NBA star after Clark’s teammates didn’t try to help her.
Clark’s boyfriend and brother also intervened after she was hit in the body.
While Carter declined to answer questions about Clark after the Sky’s 71-70 loss on Saturday, he had plenty to say on social media afterward.
“Besides three-point shooting, what does (Clark) bring to the table man,” he wrote on Threads.
Clark’s boyfriend and brother also weighed in on the feud: They liked tweets criticizing her former rival, Angel Reese, who celebrated when Carter body-slammed her opponent to the ground.
In a post, Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy called Reese a ‘classless piece of shit’ after his infamous ring celebration on Clark during his college days.
Another referred to Reese as “tall, not good…she’s just bigger than everyone.”
