Chelsea ‘plan to open contract talks with 19-year-old striker Armando Broja after he impressed on loan at Vitesse Arnhem’, with Thomas Tuchel ‘planning to include the Albanian in his Premier League roster next season’
- Armando Broja will reportedly be included in Chelsea’s Premier League squad
- The promising young striker already stood out at Vitesse Arnhem last season
- Chelsea can sack several fringe players, such as Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham
- These sales would open the door for Broja to play a role under Thomas Tuchel
Chelsea will talk to starlet Armando Broja about a new deal and consider naming him in their Premier League roster for next season, the reports say.
The talented Broja was recently loaned to Vitesse Arnhem and stood out by scoring 11 goals in 36 games and helping them to finish fourth in the Eredivisie.
An expected massive cleanup this summer will free up several places in Thomas Tuchel’s first team squad, and air sports claim Broja has done enough to defend his claim and stay at Chelsea.
Chelsea are reported to talk to young striker Armando Broja about a new deal
Broja signed a professional contract at Stamford Bridge last year and those terms expire next summer.
After making his debut in Chelsea’s 4-0 win against Everton in March 2020 under Frank Lampard, Broja has gone from strength to strength.
Due to his progress, the 19-year-old even got his international debut for Albania last year. Since then he has been in their squads a lot.
Broja impressed this year at Vitesse Arnhem and is expected to belong to the top of Chelsea Chelsea
There is said to be interest in Broja from a number of elite clubs in Europe, but Blues boss Tuchel is keen to bring him back and give him a role at the top.
Sports post revealed this week that Tuchel is looking to bring in four new signings this summer, and that as many as 11 of his fringe players could leave.
Two of the stars on the chopping block are barely used strikers Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham.
The 34-year-old Giroud may be moving to AC Milan, with the Italian club already contacting his entourage. The intended man also has suitors in the Premier League and France, but he is keen on a two-year deal.
Thomas Tuchel plans to promote Broja and fire several fringe players over the summer
Abraham, meanwhile, has a price tag of £40 million. A move to Aston Villa backfired last summer with Chelsea initially reluctant to release, and West Ham and Wolves are both expected to take part in the race.
This departure would open the door for Broja to prove his credentials as one of Chelsea’s most popular properties.
The club also wants to bring Romelu Lukaku back when the window opens, but was dealt a blow after the ace confirmed he will stay with Inter Milan.

Lukaku, who played for Chelsea between 2011 and 2014, scored 24 goals in Serie A last season and was integral to winning the title for Inter.
Both Chelsea and Manchester City are said to have made progress for him, but Lukaku has said he is ‘feeling good’ at the San Siro and has already held talks with the new boss, Simone Inzaghi.
Tottenham talisman Harry Kane is also a target for Chelsea, but his £150m price tag could be a stumbling block.
