REVEALED: Chelsea star Kai Havertz has shock transfer interest from Premier League rivals – as well as Real Madrid – but the Blues will have to cut their asking price by £20m to clinch a deal
- Real Madrid are looking for a replacement after the departure of Karim Benzema
- Havertz has emerged as a possible option for the Spanish giants this summer
- A major Premier League club is monitoring the situation
Arsenal are reportedly watching developments with Chelsea striker Kai Havertz closely.
The German has been heavily linked with Real Madrid in recent weeks, with the Spanish club set to strengthen their attack following the departure of star striker Karim Benzema.
Chelsea’s asking price of £70million has so far proved a stumbling block and now the The telegraph claim the Gunners have taken an interest.
With midfield being Mikel Arteta’s priority this summer, there’s no doubt that Arsenal could benefit from a more direct and physical striker.
Havertz is said to have considered his future at Chelsea a long time ago.

A more direct striker is something Mikel Arteta could be looking for this summer
The Blues have had a turbulent season following an extensive squad overhaul, with Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Frank Lampard all sitting in the dugout during the campaign.
Havertz is said to be interested in a possible move to Real Madrid, while Chelsea are said to see the 23-year-old as a salable asset as new boss Mauricio Pochettino looks to downsize his bloated squad.
However, the Blues will have to lower their asking price to around £50million if a deal is to be completed.
Real were previously interested in signing Havertz when he was at Bayer Leverkusen.
Havertz instead completed a £76m move to Chelsea in 2020, a record deal with the club.

It looks increasingly likely that Havertz played his last game for the Blues
The Blues face a potentially big loss if they agree to a sale.
The versatile striker has scored 32 goals in 139 appearances for Chelsea, including the winner of the 2021 Champions League final.
Havertz struggled during Chelsea’s difficult season, scoring just nine goals and providing one assist in 47 appearances in all competitions.
