Chelsea have discussed a potential deal involving striker Armando Broja in their bid for Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The 25-year-old midfielder has rejected a transfer proposal to Brighton and is waiting for Chelsea to reach an agreement with Leicester after an initial offer was made on Friday.

Chelsea are also understood to have mentioned David Fofana and midfielder Cesare Casadei as they look to reach a deal.

Leicester are looking to offload Dewsbury-Hall to meet PSR requirements before the Sunday 30 June deadline.

Brighton had offered Jakub Moder a £25m transfer in their negotiations, but Dewsbury-Hall wants a bigger club if he wants to leave Leicester, his boyhood team where he has been since he was eight.

Aside from loan spells at Blackpool and Luton, Dewsbury-Hall has spent his entire career so far at Leicester and has made over 100 appearances for the Foxes.

Last season was a productive one for Dewsbury-Hall, who scored 12 league goals.

Meanwhile, the Blues have an agreement in principle to sign 18-year-old Barcelona forward Marc Guiu.

Mail Sport previously reported that Enzo Maresca’s side had been tracking Guiu, with the Blues facing competition from the likes of Bayern Munich for the striker’s signature.

The club are said to have activated a release clause of just €6m (£5m) to begin talks with the player.

Mail Sport also recently revealed that Chelsea have enquired about Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

The 25-year-old made 44 appearances for Leicester in the Championship during the 2023-24 season.

Mail Sport understands that talks have taken place between the clubs and that the Blues have indicated their desire to sign the Swedish international.

They know that any agreement would mean a record figure for the club beyond the 115 million pounds they paid for Moisés Caicedo.

Isak scored 25 goals last season and is one of the most popular properties in Europe. His market value is at least double the £63m that Newcastle paid Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022.

In his two seasons at St James’ Park, Isak has scored 35 goals and, although his first campaign was affected by injuries, he established himself as one of the most feared strikers in the Premier League last season.
