According to reports in Italy, Chelsea have inquired about signing Sassuolo and Italian forward Domenico Berardi.
The 26-year-old impressed for his country at Euro 2020, claiming two group stage assists en route to the Azzurri’s victory after beating England in the final on penalties.
The forward has played his entire club career with Sassuolo since his first-team debut in 2012, after he famously turned down a move to Juventus despite being co-owned by the Serie A giants between 2013 and 2015.

Last week reports claimed the Stamford Bridge outfit had failed with an £85million bid to sign Federico Chiesa, while Juventus were unwilling to open talks about the winger they signed last summer.
But latest reports from Italy now claim the Champions League winners have shifted their focus to Chiesa’s international team-mate Berardi, who has a two-year contract with Sassuolo.
