Two Premier League clubs are interested in signing Chelsea full-back Ben Chilwell, according to reports.

Chelsea wanted to sell Chilwell in the summer but were unable to find a club for the Englishman.

He is still training separately from Chelsea’s first team but the England international has been given hope of a return after Enzo Maresca approved his inclusion in the club’s Premier League squad on Friday.

Maresca is scheduled to meet with the 27-year-old to find a solution so that he does not spend the next four months in the football desert.

One of the options on the table is to allow him to rejoin the first team until January, when they could look for a potential buyer again.

And that buyer could be Ipswich or Crystal Palace, according to The Sun.

A source told us that Chilwell remains concerned about the amount of playing time he will receive this season and is open to a transfer.

The Blues are believed to still be interested in getting rid of him as they continue to struggle with the problems that come with having such a large squad.

Maresca had previously said such separate training sessions would not be used under his command, with Chilwell excluded from Chelsea’s Conference League squad submitted to UEFA last week.

This means he will not be able to be used in any of the club’s next six matches in European competition.

Asked at his Friday press conference about Chilwell ahead of Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth, Maresca said: “Ben is probably the only one who is still here. We will sit down with him and find a solution because he is the only one.”

“The reason he is training separately is because the idea was for him to leave, but since no solution was found, he will probably start training with us. If we decide so, he will be one of the players.”
