Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will decide in the next 24 hours whether Callum Hudson Odoi will be loaned to Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga club has created an approach for the English winger who is struggling to get playing time and is eager to play regularly.
Tuchel believes Hudson-Odoi should fight for his place, but acknowledges that competition is fierce with Chelsea’s array of wing and attacking midfield options.

He believes the 20-year-old can still contribute to Chelsea’s campaign but will discuss the offer with the player before giving the green light.
Hudson-Odoi has so far been an unused substitute in each of Chelsea’s three Premier League games, with Tuchel’s side remaining unbeaten during that time despite trips to Arsenal and Liverpool.
The West Londoners played a front three of new signings Lukaku, Kai Havertz and Mason Mount – with Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech also being used from the bench in recent matches.
Hudson-Odoi can also play as a fullback in Tuchel’s 3-4-2-1 system, but Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta are options on the right, with Marcos Alonso and Ben Chilwell on the left.
The 20-year-old was not selected by England manager Gareth Southgate for the World Cup qualifiers in September and Hudson-Odoi turned down the chance to join the Three Lions’ Under-21s team to work on his development.
Chelsea are also in talks with Reading about a proposed deal for Danny Drinkwater. The 31-year-old still has a one-year contract, but Chelsea could agree to a loan if Reading contributes to his wages.
Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko was in Milan on Sunday for his medical before signing for AC Milan, while 19-year-old Tino Anjorin is wanted by Lokimotiv Moscow.
